Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought -“Am I loveable?”
We see and hear so many rules on social media and the news on how we should act and how we should look. People are being bullied on social platforms and at their schools or workplace just because they don’t fit in with what the world trys to tell us,
I know I have struggled my whole life with the thoughts of weather I am pretty enough or good enough. It doesn’t take much some days to open up the door to the evil one to fill my thoughts with doubt.
As I began to read Leviticus 22 I was challenged by Gods commands and laws. Why would He single out people who are different? Does He look at me this way? Am I different?
As I continued to read to the end of Leviticus in Chapter 26; Receiving Gods Blessing; I was reminded how much God loves us as we are. Verse 26:13 – We too, are set free when we accept Christ payment that redeems us from sins slavery.
We no longer need to carry our burdens of shame over our past sins. We can walk with dignaty becasue of Gods blessings and forgivness.
Because of Gods Love for us we no longer have to wonder if we are good enough. Jesus, His son died for each of us to redeem us from the bondage of slavery to sin and self loathing. Thoughts about our worth the world puts on us. Thoughts that the evil one wants us to believe so desperately that he will use social media and people around us to speak the untruths of his world.
God wants us to hear and follow His commands. Leviticus 26:44…I, the Lord will not utterly reject or despise them…I will not cancel my covenant.
God loves us and will bring us out of exile to experience freedom with Him! What great news!!
Dear God thank you for loving us as we are. Thank you for your covenant so many years ago and thank you for your continued faithfulness. Forgive us when we doubt your love and creation. We want to hear you throughout our day. Protect our ears and hearts against the words of this world. Thank you for your forgiveness and second chances. Ames
