2 Chronicals 14 Asa Reign in Judah
Have you ever been in waiting? Praising and honoring our Lord, removing all that represents evil in your life. Staying in His word, going to church and praying endlessly. Like Asa we can wait months years for the next step.
Asa prepared his people for 10 years [vrs 1] before they headed into battle with God.
Proverbs 20:24 says, A man’s steps are determined by the Lord, so how can anyone understand his own way?

2 Chronicals 14 we read about the victory Asa and his army had. And again and again even before 2 Chronicals in the bible we read victory after victory for the army’s that followed God.
I am not saying that there are not lessons of defeat for those who choose their own ways in these chapters. The victories point to a common victor. God!
We don’t know what God has in store for us this new year. But through His word we can be confident that with faith and grace the Lord is preparing us.
During this Christmas season remember the truely amazing gift! Jesus the King was born!
I am reminded of Luke 2:19, But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.
Continue to keep Christ first during this Christmas season. Don’t let what the world wants to pull you away with become you idol.
