In Genesis 11 we read of the city of Bable. God’s plan was set into motion. Just what the people were afraid of; not being famous among ALL their peers and ALL the nations (vrs 54) scatter across the country (vrs 58)

Sometimes the things we believe we are protecting ourselves from prevent us from seeing the truth. God’s truth and purpose for us. We rebell against God to be apart of something. A group of people, a relationship, or maybe even a job that has become all consuming. Taking time away from God and family.

Rather than looking to God for purpose we seek the world and define ourselves by what we have gathered along the way.

God’s purpose in Genesis 1:28 to Adam and Eve “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.”

This is where God’s justified judgement in people (Genesis 11:8) was established.

Are you seeking God’s purpose today? His purpose doesn’t have to be grandiose. Maybe at that job you have, that has become all consuming take a small step back and love your family or spouse a little extra this week. That peer group that you keep hanging onto. Step back and find a small group at your church were you can engage with other Christians or maybe support someone in need.

God’s commands and ways; Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; are good. Know this not only in your mind but believe deep in your souls. We carry within us His strength and character. His commands are good. His purposes are good. He is good.
