Celebrate
Isaiaha 7:14 God is with us..
So much today blocks our mind and heart from our relationship with God.
As I sat back and watched in awe the fire work dispaly, the brilliant colors lite up the sky. Booming loud and the crowd cheered in harmony at the brilliance.
I looked around and was humbly reminded of our military men and women. Their experience much different then ours. A kind of Booming that echos in their dreams again and again.
Because of their sacrifice we get to sit on freshly mowed lawns or in parks freshly groomed. Our friends, family and neighbors amongst us. The freedoms we have today have been paid for by great men and women since our declaration of Independence.
We can quickly forget about our freedoms we have. Those that have been handed down from generations. For some the memories can be somber. We cannot dismiss the many lives that have been lost fighting for those freedoms.
While some days the line between freedom and biases gets blurry, we can still find the need for all to experience our country’s great freedom.
Freedom is a God given right.
The declaration of Independence states that all people are created equal and endowed with certain unalienable rights, including the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
Our Happiness? How do we define it? We seek ways to enhance our life . Sometimes through things and even experiences.
The greatest free experience we have available to us us is the freedom through faith in Jesus Christ. The freedom from bandage and how it can effect our life. A lasting freedom that surpasses all earthly things and experiences.
As followers of Jesus Christ we can be greatfull for the many freedoms we have in the United States.
The freedom to worship Christ Our Lord and Savior everyday is top of the list.
“For In God We Trust” Our country’s moto.
The 4th of July celebration is a reminder of the sacrifice made by our founding fathers. We can also stop and reflect on Our Father in heaven that sent His Son as a sacrifice for our freedom from life in bandage and sin. A spiritual freedom that can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ death and resurrection.
Both our country’s freedom and freedom through Jesus come with a responsibility. A responsibility to choose faith over fear, love over hate and joy over anger. To share peace and above all the peace from that one day Jesus died, took our sins to the grave, conqured death and rose up to be with us as the Holy Spirit.
God Bless America! God Bless the men and women who fight and fought for our freedom from a selfish ruler. God Bless each of you and your loved one.
Go be selfless today…
