As I turned the page the author created suspense and excitement. What is going to happen next? Who could have done it?
These days I have begun to read book after book. Sometimes I have such a hard staying with a book. I guess I am more of a suspense type of reader.
When I find a good book to read it can be hard for me to put the book down. Every page draws me into the scene. I can see the colors or their faces. I can feel the tension in the room. Almost like I am there.
I have on occasion dove into a self help book or two. Trying to keep myself on point. I believe that growth is important. I once read this quote; “be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.”
What about out faith is standing still? If we stand still in our relationship with Jesus, waiting for Him to take over our learning we will missing His blessings.
In Genesis 1 of Gods book, the bible we read the beginning of creation. We can feel the warm sun and the brisk nights.
The books I read leave me to my imagination. What the author wants me to feel.
We live in Gods creation everyday. The plants growing, the song birds music to our ears. I can sit at my little cabin in the woods watch the deer, rabbits and hear the woods as the wind blows.
Gods word is also a true story penned by those that were there. Those that experienced Gods love, the fall of man and His redeeming passion for all.
Not unlike the author of so many books I have read God has captured our attention. He wants us to hear the good message of redemption.
Every time we pickup a book we are drawn to a new characters thier actions and emotions. The same happens when we read the bible. God opens our heart and eyes to see His character in work in our life today.
