What do you mean I didn’t get the promotion? why didn’t we get that house? I wanted it so much. I study so hard for my test, but still didn’t get the grade I wanted. Why did that person do that to me?
Dissapointment comes our way throughout our lives. We cant stop it. I know I have had my share throughout my life. I aslo kow that I have disappointed others at times too.
Sometimes the disappointment we carry can feel overwhelming. We can be trapped by the feeling that things should be different than they are.
This is when the enemy can isolate us, he can influence out thoughts, feeling and actions. When will the pain end? Out feeling can see rotten situations as absolutely unnecessary hurt. But our soul can see it as a fertilizer for a better future.
Both of these feelings are real. A struggle at each disappointment that pulls at us. A wrestling match that we can do our best and know that we have done weel, letting our faith lead the way. That doesn’t mean that the disappointment does away.
We trust Gods resolve for us. We choose to stay with our bible, our church, and gather with other believers. Those that encourage us and pray for us.
In the last book of the bible; Revelations 21:3 says, “Look, Gods home is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them.”
Gods dwelling place is not out of reach, soothing to come. It is here today among His believers. He dwells in each of us today. those that choose to believe in the death, resurrection and have been baptized in the Holy Spirit are a living testimony to a living Christ today. We have already received HIs promises. He will wipe away every tear, for the old order, the old you has passed away.
You have been made new
God as we go about our days remind us of you presence in each of us. That we only need to seek you, your Holy Spirit which dwells within our hearts. We seek your protection from the enemy. Pour your Holy Spirit on us. Comfort those that need your peace. We know that with you we have been provided an endless well of joy. Amen
