Trees

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the smalls.and the feel of the cold air on my face. People racking up all the leafs that have fallen and making big piles. Piles for running and jumping in. Go ahead and do it. Play like a child for a few minutes. Bury yourself in all the colors of the leafs.
When I was younger we had a big weeping willow in our back yard. The truck of that tree was so big you couldn’t wrap your arms around it. Summer, fall and winter that tree gave us a shelter within us long leafy branches. We swung on them, run under the branches to dodge our friends in a game of tag. It’s braches reached down from its tall trunk billowing in the wind.
These memories bring me a warm comfort of childhood blessings.
Like the weeping willows branches I could move freely and feel the sun penitrait my soul.
Gods creation began with the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. The Bible references a tree in many parables symbolizing Gods enduring g presence and provision from beginning to end. Other than people and God trees are the most mentioned living thing in the bible.
I think my favorite verse about trees is in Psalm 1;1-3 blessed is the man who walks not in the words of the wicked nor stands in the way of sinners, or sits in the seats of lies, but his delight is in the instructions of the Lord, he studies on these instructions day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that it’s fruit is in season, and it’s leaf does not wither. I. All he does, he prospers.
As the season changes from summer fall and into winter seek trees that are rooted in God’s creation and with stand the storms this world sends.
What kind of tree is your favorite? Why?
Gods creation if for us
